Elise rang the Hotline on behalf of her sister, Holly, who struggled with reading and writing and wanted to find a job.
The Hotline saw there was a tutoring program at the local library, but it turned out that the program was no longer being offered. The Hotline was then put in touch with the person who used to run the volunteer program. She is now retired but had the contacts of two former volunteers, and one of them agreed to work with Holly at the library.
The Hotline rang to follow up this year and see how Holly was going. She had already had several lessons, and was working with the volunteer to learn the road rules, as she wanted to be able to drive. Holly is on her way.
