Many of us remember last year’s uplifting Lost for Words series which raised awareness of the many people in Australia who face literacy, numeracy and digital literacy barriers. The series also demonstrated how tailored, student-centred approaches delivered by highly trained teachers can achieve remarkable results.
SBS’s inspiring observational documentary returns for a second season premiering on Wednesday 12 October. Nine new learners each with their own personal goals will take part in nine weeks of intensive classes with adult literacy teachers Adam Nobilia and Jo Medlin, President of the Australian Council for Adult Literacy. As well as literacy this three-part series also includes a focus on numeracy skills.
Tune in for a powerful and emotional experience which affirms the important work that adult LND teachers do and how this can change people’s lives.
