For over 48 years the Read Write Now (RWN) program has been offering free one-on-one tutoring for adults in Western Australia who want to improve their reading, writing, maths study or basic computer skills. Their latest newsletter has some great information on the amazing work they do.

The RWN Spring Edition spotlights their free literacy training, shares highlights from across the state, and explores emerging trends in maths and digital literacy. RWN report that they are seeing a growing demand for online tutoring as well as an increased need for face-to-face digital skills support. They have found online tutoring helps the many regional learners who lack access to face-to-face support and others who need flexible sessions around work, family or other commitments.

RWN is also seeing more adult learners seeking help with maths to meet TAFE course requirements. The newsletter has an interesting article titled The Quick Fix or the Slow Build from RWN City Metro sharing observations of mathematics student referrals.

You can sign up for free copies of the RWN newsletter on their website.
