This training manual from USA has some useful sections, although much of it does not reflect current Australian practice. The useful chapters are Chapter 5 on Fluency Development, and Chapter 7 Comprehension-Strategy Instruction, both of which contain a number of good practical strategies. There is a chapter on Phonemic Awareness Training and Phonics Instruction which may be of some interest to those who are interested in this approach to dyslexia and similar learning disabilities. However, the sections on assessment are not reflective of most Australian concepts of best practice.
