01 Nov Update on the Parliamentary Inquiry into Adult literacy and its importance

Many of us in the adult literacy field made submissions to the inquiry, which is now preparing its final report and recommendations. These will be tabled in Parliament. The intention is for the report to be tabled prior to the Federal election. The Government then has six months to respond to the recommendations.

Once the report is tabled, it will be added to the inquiry website, along with all published submissions and transcripts. The inquiry website will remain available on ‘the completed inquiries and reports’ page of the Education Employment and Training Committee website.
